For more than 40 years we at EK Power Solutions have worked with power electronics and motion control applications, delivering bespoke products and solutions to our leading-edge tech clients. We are about 20 specialists with expertise within HW design, embedded SW, PCB layout, mechanical design and project management. Our spacious office, with a large and well-equipped electronics lab is located in the northern parts of Stockholm.

We are now looking for ambitious master thesis students wanting to explore various fields of power electronics with us. Below is a number of areas of interest to us, but we are also open to suggestions.

• Optimization of BLDC drive
• Improvement of inductance measurement rig with DC bias
• Test rig for characterization of switching losses (double pulse)
• Re-design of power converter with GaN devices
• Studying PWM methods to reduce common mode noise in three phase inverter
• Study and simulate different DC/DC converter topologies
• Investigation of active EMI filter
• Design of partial discharge detector for development purposes
• Design of vibration tester for development purposes
